Watching other families enjoy themselves here shows us how few leave the farm since there is so much to see and do. Here the kids are in their element and don’t have time to get bored! That´s why the parents are having a great time too.

But if you do want to explore what´s nearby then you’ll find yourself in the heart of The Netherlands, with visits to cities like Utrecht and Amsterdam, beautiful polder countryside, quaint traditional villages and of course plenty of surrounding water! Something for everyone!

  • Oortjespad

Less than 300m from the farm and you will find this delightful recreational area including a paddling pool, playground with open fields and a large fishing pond. There's also a nice petting zoo here so in good weather, you don’t have to wander far for some refreshment and alternative entertainment.

  • Batensteinbad swimming pool

Even if the weather isn’t on your side you can still enjoy a great swim in Woerden’s indoor swimming pool (25m length), including a recreational pool with a water slide and lazy river.

  • Nieuwkoopse and Vinkeveen lakes

Within 15 minutes you can be enjoying either one of these beautiful boating lakes. Canoes, motor boats and sail boats are all available to hire.

  • Geertjeshoeve

In Haarzuilens you will find this really enjoyable “experience farm” where you can cuddle and feed 100 dairy goats. Naturally you can see and taste for yourself what delicacies are produced from goats’ milk.

  • Archeon theme park

A full day of prehistoric action awaits you at the Archeon theme park in Alphen aan de Rijn. Presenting 9000 years of history from pre-historic through till the Middle Ages – all in one day! 

  • BatensteinBuiten

BatensteinBuiten is the largest splash, sport and play area in Woerden and includes a super cool water play area, mini-golf, sand play area, airtrampoline, zip wire a great terrace and much more. Admission is free.


  • Bird Park Avifauna

Take a world tour in Avifauna, where more than 1,800 birds live, including also reptiles and lemurs, like the very cute ring-tailed lemurs. Done enough bird spotting? No problem – there’s a playground too! 

  • Pitch & Putt Golf in Kamerijck

300m from the farm is Kamerijck, a beautiful town on the water’s edge where you can also play golf. Here you will find an 18-hole course for both the beginner and the advanced player. Equipment is available to rent and is included in the entry price – so if you forget your clubs then don’t worry! 


  • Kasteel de Haar

A visit to De Haar is a journey of discovery into a marvelous world. There are only a few castles in Europe that have the same romantic image of a medieval fortress with towers and ramparts, with canals, gates and drawbridges. Everyone feels like a princess or knight here as you take an adventurous quest or wander through the maze. 

  • Railway Museum, Utrecht

The Railway Museum is not just a museum; it is an experience for the whole family! Besides being impressed by the beautiful historic trains - there's plenty to do and experience too! The different 'worlds' of the museum tell the story of almost 175 years of the railways in The Netherlands.
