Wow! What a stunning view! Stepping out of your tent at FarmCamp Looveld has never been so beautiful with nothing but open pasture and forests for as far as the eye can see. This is a truly unique place, with lots of peace, space and nature where you literally wake up among the cows.
At ‘t Looveld, you can choose from 5 different luxury tents. There are 4 luxury Safari tents with a toilet in the tent (you can shower in the heated sanitary building), 4 luxury Ranchtents with the cool Hooi Hooi Badtrailer with a bath and shower next to your tent, 5 luxury Farmtents with a bathroom in the tent, 2 even more luxurious Lodgetents or 2 Barntents with both the bathroom in the tent. Plenty of choice!
This FarmCamps farm is located on a quiet, dead-end road and is surrounded by meadows and fields. Within walking distance you will find a nice forest with fens and a dolmen.
The luxury tents are spread over 2 spacious fields and look out over the meadows with grazing cows and sheep or the cosy central campfire of the Kamps family. Both fields have playground equipment so the kids are always in sight. How nice is that! There is also a field with 10 places where people can stay with their own camping equipment.

FarmCamps 't Looveld also has 10 camping pitches for guests with their own camping equipment. You can find more information on the farm's own website.
At check-in, children will receive FarmCamps’ Farmer’s Passport. This contains fun and educational tasks they can do independently or with the farmer. This way, they participate in, and learn about life on the farm.
For each completed task they will receive a stamp in their Farmer’s Passport. When their work is done they will graduate with their own Farmers diploma!
During each stay, farmer’s wife Matine gives a Tour de Boer (farmer’s tour) of their yard. She will be happy to tell you what they do, how they work and show you around their farm.
This way, you will get to know the farm and hear fun and special stories about life on the farm where you are staying. Afterwards, we drink a cup of coffee together and you can get further acquainted with the farmer and farmer’s wife.
Did you know that you can make your own ice cream or yoghurt from fresh milk? Farmer Matine will be happy to explain how. For the yoghurt, she will give you the ingredients and you can make your own in the tent.
At ‘t Looveld, you can ride one of the lovely ponies in the outdoor arena, together with Annemarie, one of the daughters. She will be happy to give you tips and advice. Check out the possibilities at the farm.
You can regularly help farmer Johan take the cows out to pasture and watch them being milked. When it is very hot, the cows stay inside for some cooling and go outside more often at night.
Take a lovely walk to the forest on one of the sweet ponies, Sofietje or Polly. Together with your parents and of course you sit on the pony, and your parents walk beside it.
Of course, the small animals also need something to eat every day. Join the tour of the animals and help farmer Matine or one of the children with feeding.
Are the kids too young to take the walk to the forest? Then put them in the trolley. They’ll love it.
During your stay, there is a chance that the campfire will be lit. Together by the campfire, listen to the crackling of the flames and warm up by the fire.
Do you love ponies too? Occasionally, pony rides are organised or there is an opportunity to brush Sofietje and Polly. Keep a close eye on the activity board for this! Would you like to go for a ride outside the yard? Ask about the possibilities.
In the Bossingel there is always material available to build your own hut. With your new friends, this will be a great adventure!
In the summer holidays, the children of the Kamps family sometimes spontaneously organise all kinds of activities, such as a children’s disco or bingo in bad weather, or a hexathlon or football tournament in good weather.
If you like to play, this is the place for you! Here you can play football, build huts, ride go-karts, mess around with sand and do somersaults on the trampoline!
A deliciously fresh farmers breakfast delivered to your tent including fresh bread, milk, juice, fuit, eggs (you cook these to your own liking) and of course a variety of condiments.
Breakfast can be booked extra for Saturday and Sunday. During the holidays, it is also possible to book extra breakfast for Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
On Saturdays and Sundays and during the school holidays you can also buy delicious, fresh bread rolls in the farm shop!
No need to lug around your own baby gear! This package includes a baby bed, high chair and a changing mat. Don’t forget to bring your baby’s own bed linen though.
Not only will your mini-farmers look very cool in these red overalls but you’ll be sure their clothes don’t get ruined!
Includes 1 x large and 1 x small, thick white towel. Perfect for leaving washing behind at the end of your holiday!

In boswachterij Sleenerzand, less than 10km away, you will find Zwemplas Kibbelkoele. A super fun and safe swimming lake with sandy beach in the forest. A lovely place to swim and laze around on the beautiful sandy beach. There are even toilets and a kiosk.

In the village, a few kilometers from the farm, you’ll find this swimming pool with one large pool (25 meters long), a separate paddling pool and some awesome waterslides.

You can swim even when the weather is not so good. In Emmen you will find the swimming and wave pool Aquarena. With an 80-metre water slide, wild water creek and Splash Island for the little ones.

At 20km from the farm, in the heart of the Drenthe village of Exloo is Kabouterland; a fun day out full of gnomes, trolls, animals and plenty of indoor and outdoor playgrounds.

Studio 100 is a Belgian company that produces popular children’s television series. The 15km drive will end with radiant smiles and cheers of joy on this fun day out with the family.

At the Forestry Commission’s Boomkroonpad in Drouwen (25km), you can take a walk through the treetops at enormous heights. There are also lots of fun playgrounds for kids in the large forest.

The most beautiful zoo in The Netherlands can be found in Emmen, only 15km from the farm. Here the animals are arranged according to the continents of the earth.

Put on your bearskin and go back to prehistory, to the time of the 1st farmers in Drenthe. Here you will find 54 dolmens and lots of other fun and informative things about Drenthe’s past.

Step back in time at the open air museum ‘Ellert & Brammert “Schoonoord”! A short 7km from the farm, this museum lets you relive the olden days in south east Drenthe. Legend has it that the giants Ellert and Brammert used to raid the surrounding area but now they thankfully stand at the entrance of the museum.

In the middle of Drenthe lies the Westerbork memorial center depicting Dutch war time under occupation, where between 1942 and 1945 more than 100,000 Jews, Sinti and Roma were deported to camps in Eastern Europe. The history of Westerbork is represented by means of photographs, documents, drawings, paintings, images, maps, and objects.
