A fairytale come true...A fairytale come true...

Kaatsheuvel is full of fairytales but don’t be fooled because this stunning livery is very real! Karin Smulders, her husband and their three outgoing kids live here together with her Mum and Dad. The livery is home to around 26 boarding horses including 2 horses and 8 ponies of their own but the lead role goes, without a doubt, to their Shetland ponies: Tommy, Roxy, Knofje, Udo, Joe, Rokkie, Eigenaar, Devin, Piet, Sam, Stippel, Elvis, Sjonnie en Baron. These incredibly sweet and trustworthy ponies are excellent fun for your mini-Farmers!

But it’s not all about horses and ponies at FarmCamps Smulhoeve! Here there are two kinds of camps; pony camp and football camp! This family may be horse crazy but they are also mad about football and that’s hardly surprising when you discover that their father played professional football for a number of years. This sporty family are perfectly happy to see the guests playing football and there is a tennis court here too!

So FarmCamps Smulhoeve has something for everyone – even if you’re not a fan of ponies there is still plenty to see and do here. This farm is ideally situated with a short bike ride to the Efteling theme park or a walk to the Loonse and Drunense dunes.

“Had a great stay at FarmCamps de Smulhoeve. At our own tent we had a cuddling pony, a pony to look after and even a rabbit. The girls loved it even when it was raining!”
