Watching other families enjoy themselves here shows us how few leave the farm since there is so much to see and do. Here the kids are in their element and don’t have time to get bored! That´s why the parents are having a great time too.

But if you do want to explore what´s nearby then the Zeeland-Flanders region has something for everyone. Discover beautiful, typical Dutch dykes spanning across exquisite open landscape or the stunning Westerscheld coastline, or even a trip over the border to Belgium is within reach.   • De Honte outdoor pool

In nearby Kloosterzande you can enjoy the fun of an outdoor swimming pool. 

  • De Vogel swimming pool

Even in cooler times, you can still have a fabulous time splashing around in ´De Vogel´ indoor swimming pool in Hengsdijk. This swimming paradise boasts a recreational pool, separate infant/toddler pools and a spectacular water slide which is a staggering 70 meters long! Here you can also play the unique ‘aqua smash’ game. And they didn’t forget the parents either who can relax in the spa corner.   

  • Putjesstrand in Ossenisse

Stretching along the Westerschelde coast are many wonderful beaches, perfect for swimming. One of the most famous of these is ‘Putjesstrand´ in Ossenisse. At low tide this beach comes into its element creating small pools where the kids can go shrimping and crabbing! 

  • Cadzand

For the real beach lovers you cannot come to visit us without a trip to Cadzand. This short 3 minute drive takes you to wide open, stunning coastlines. And why not take a hop, skip and jump over the border to Flanders and visit the famous seaside resort of Knokke?

  • Farmers golf ‘Tuinenburg’

Close to our farm you can walk to the 11-hole farmers’ golf course at Zaamsveer. Who will come out under par and who will be over? 

  • De Bourgondiër in Hulst

Bounce around to your hearts content like little lambs in spring at this fantastic indoor playground. There are slides, spring cushions, go-carts and trampolines. Endless hours of fun will fly by at De Bourgondiër.

  • Antwerp Zoo

Since you are in the south-west of The Netherlands then you are but a whisper from Antwerp. This beautiful zoo in the center of Antwerp is home to more than 5000 animals.

  • Plopsaland in De Panne

Studio 100 is a Belgian company that produces popular children's television series. For true fans of their loveable heroes then it doesn’t get any better than a visit to ‘Plopsaland’ in De Panne, a Belgian province in west Flanders. This 80 minute drive will end with radiant smiles and cheers of joy on this fun day out with the family.

  • The Drowned Land of Saeftinghe

This official nature reserve is a cross point between the river Scheldt and the Western Scheldt estuary. This is a truly unforgettable nature adventure for the kids as they explore Europe’s largest water wilderness. Organized excursions and crabbing trips for the kids are a must!

  • Flanders Ports

Terneuzen is the third largest port in the Netherlands (after those of Rotterdam and Amsterdam). Exploring its giant locks will not only let you admire the enormous passing sea vessels but you will also learn a thing or two about this historic location. If you really have sea legs then you can also get on board and go out for a sail.

  • Seal Safari

In a 1.5-hour boat trip on the Westerschelde, you will search for seals, porpoises and seabirds. During the boat trip you will learn all about shipping, fishing and the area you are sailing through. The boat leaves at the port of Breskens.

  • Fortified town of Hulst

Close by the farm is Hulst, one of the prettiest fortified towns in The Netherlands. Kids can go on a treasure hunt through this delightful walled town. Also worth a visit is the nearby fortified town of Sluis which hosts the Belfort Museum in the heart of the town. The Belfort Towers, part of the museum, offer wonderful views.

  • Antwerp, Ghent, Bruges

Just a short 30 minute drive and you’ll find yourself in the heart of these beautiful Belgian towns. Famous for their stunning architecture, boutique shops and delightful terraces and restaurants – they’re a must!

  • Shell museum

In Zaamslag you will find a large collection of shells and sea-life. The smallest of these are in matchboxes, the rest in showcases or large drawers. There is also a collection of sea creatures, such as a stuffed puffer fish, a large seahorse, a sea urchin and beautiful corals.
