Alpaca Vorstenbosch

Alpaca farm in Vorstenbosch, Noord-Brabant

Who walks the alpaca?

While staying on the farm of farmers Willem-Mathijs, Anne and their two kids Evi and Nina, you will become familiar with the miraculous world of the alpaca. For many years Anne’s parents ran a dairy farm here until Anne and Willem-Mathijs decided to fully focus on alpaca’s only; quite different from cows! Willem-Mathijs even proposed to Anne at an alpaca show and she said ‘yes!’

Over the years the herd grew to over 70 alpacas and this has continued to expand annually by another 20 foals. As alpacas give birth from May till August there is a huge chance that you may get to witness a birth. How cool would that be?!

The alpaca’s here are being pampered like movie stars. They are the center of attention during the alpaca-walk or the alpaca meet & greet. Did you know that alpacas are kept for their super soft wool? The shearing of all the alpacas takes place in May. This wool is used to make lovely warm duvets. The leftover wool is processed into yarn and then sold for hand spinning.

Alpacas, despite their fluffy fur and cute faces, are not necessarily cuddly animals. However, they are very curious and like to eat from your hand. Once they are feasting, you can quietly stroke their soft, woolly fur or carefully take a selfie with your favourite. Plus, children have an edge with alpacas because of their length.

It goes without saying there is much more to see and do on this farm than alpacas alone. Race go-karts on the farmyard, cuddle the rabbits, bake sand cakes in the mud kitchen or perform tricks on the trampoline. All of this entertainment along with the popular alpacas, is the perfect mix for a great holiday. So “all paca your bags” and off we go to FarmCamps Vorstenbosch!

Where do I sleep

On the outskirts of the Brabant-province village of Vorstenbosch lies the modern alpaca farm of farmers Anne, Willem-Mathijs and their 2 kids. A picturesque location where you can fully enjoy and appreciate the farm, the tranquility and the beautiful forest nearby.

On FarmCamps Alpaca Vorstenbosch you have a choice of 2 different types of luxurious glamping tents. Are you going to choose one of the 4 Ranch tents with their unique Hay Hay Bath trailor next to your tent? Or will you opt for the luxurious Barn tent with en-suite bathroom, bath tub, large luxurious kitchen, dish washer and the Hay Hay attic bedroom?

At this FarmCamps farm you are guaranteed to enjoy the peace and quiet. You will relax in the pleasant village of Vorstenbosch in Brabant. The 15 luxury tents are playfully arranged over a cosy field with plenty of space and privacy and a view of the alpaca meadows.

Our sweet farm cats are walking around on the farm. They like to explore and regularly secretly sneak into the tents. If you don’t like this, go for the Ranch tent. The Ranch tents have a door that makes it less easy for them to enter the tent unseen.

During the weekend the farmers Willem-Mathijs and Anna also open the Alpaca bar to day trippers and the general public, who may want to go for an alpaca walk. Of course the field with the luxurious tents is kept separate from the Alpaca bar.

On this farm it is not possible to bring your own camping equipment. There is a luxurious 6-person holiday home available to rent. Pets are not allowed on this farm.

Pizza or Poffertjes night

Farmer Willem-Mathijs regularly organises a cosy pizza evening. The kids can make their own pizza, after which farmer Willem-Mathijs pushes the pizzas into the wood-fired oven. Occasionally, poffertjes night replaces pizza night. Of course, you can enjoy your pizza together on the terrace or, if the weather is bad, in the barn among the alpacas. The pizza or poffertjes evening is, if there are enough participants, usually on Saturdays and during the school holidays also on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Outside the school holidays, there are no pizza or poffertjes evenings on weekdays.
